UPON RECEIPT OF PAYMENT, A DETAILED WEEK-BY-WEEK CURRICULUM & BREAKDOWN OF THE 12-WEEK PROGRAM WILL BE SENT VIA EMAIL.

JULY 15 - AUGUST 4

Teaching Points:

• What is Scouting? (roles, levels, types of scouts)
• Understanding the NBA Scouting landscape
• Key player traits: IQ, motor, athleticism, size, mentality
• Intro to positional profiles (guards, wings, bigs)
• Watching vs. Evaluating
• Scouting terminology 101

Assignments:

• Watch 2 full games (NBA or Summer League)
• Write brief notes on 3 players (1 per position)
• Submit 1 mock player profile using the sample template

AUGUST 5 - AUGUST 25

Teaching Points:

• Offensive skills: shooting, passing, creation, decision-making
• Defensive skills: on-ball, help D, rotations, closeouts
• Rebounding, Hustle, Intangibles
• Key stats: TS%, AST/TO ratio, usage, on/off
• Position-by-position ealuation focus
• Email support and (1) phone consultation per week

Assignments:

• Stat comparison: 2 players from the same position
• Submit 2 mini reports (offensie + defensive focus)
• Mid exam

AUGUST 26 - SEPTEMBER 15

Teaching Points:

• How to watch film like a scout
• Tracking tendencies (screens, cuts, decisions, effort plays)
• Writing scouting reports: structure, tone, depth
• Using stats to support eye-test
• Evaluating upside vs. current ability
• Email support and (2) phone consultations per week

Assignments:

• Break down 1 half of game fil (player-specific)
• Submit 1 full-length scouting report
• 1-on-1 feedback

SEPTEMBER 16 - OCTOBER 15

Teaching Points:

• Building your scouting identity and niche
• Report formatting: professional look and presentation
• Networking tips + where to share your work (LinkedIn, Slack groups, Showcases)
• Career paths: G-League, Overseas, Video assistant, Intern roles
• Email support and (2) phone consultations per week

Assignments:

• Submit 2 final reports
• Compile PDF or Google Drive scouting folder
• Final exam
